Knowledge and Ignorance

"It takes considerable knowledge just to realize the extent of your own ignorance." :: Thomas Sowell ::

Great quote. That's basically what I was trying to say last week in my post, "Blah, blah, blah..." I had to gain a certain amount of knowledge before I was able to understand how ignorant I truly am! It sounds like a let down but its actually a good place to be. It helps me to be more measured and humble with what I have to say and more respectful toward what other people have to say. We never truly arrive when it comes to education and growth. This particularly true when it comes to Scripture. My pastor shared a great Spurgeon quote during his sermon yesterday:

"Nobody ever outgrows Scriptures; the Book widens and deepens with our years." :: C. H. Spurgeon ::
